Cocoview Resort Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras July 2008 The Coco II was our boat the whole week except for the first day when it was out for repairs This was our first visit to Roatan and we were a bit apprehensive after reading and hearing about the effects of over development on the island. After spending a week at Cocoview Resort, our concerns were put to rest, at least for this small part of the island. The coral in Roatan was not in as good of condition or as large as what we saw in Guanaja. The size and diversity of fish we saw in Roatan was more than what we saw in Guanaja. The week we were there, we were treated with an unexpected bonus; the annual fish count sponsored by ReefNet Inc. and Cocoview Resort was taking place. We took some time to do two activities off the resort and enjoyed both very much. All considered, we would go back to and recommend Cocoview Resort in Roatan. The Full Report CocoView Resort Website Relaxing on our room's deck overlooking the walk in entry. Keep your eyes open, we saw a spotted eagle ray in the shallow water below our deck rail! When we arrived, we were assigned to a boat. Each boat has a it's own bay for storing dive gear. Plenty of room and no diver funk! Common areas are tastefully placed around the resort for informal gatherings and dive discussions. Overall relaxed with a dive focus. There are plenty of common area decks to sun and relax. But who wants to sun with there is such great diving available a few feet away on the CocoView wall and the Prince Albert!
